AB#347 TDA Tramonto di Agosto Triptych is a mixed media work composed of three panels painted on raw canvas made from recycled coffee sacks. Together, the three surfaces form a continuous horizontal landscape, expanding the vision of an August sunset into a broader temporal and spatial experience.
Rose, violet, and deep blue tones unfold across the panels through layered horizontal striations inspired by Gerhard Richter’s squeegee technique, allowing color to flow and shift from one canvas to the next. The lingering warmth of late summer is present throughout the composition, suggesting a moment suspended between day and night.
In this triptych, the sunset is no longer a single instant but a sequence an ongoing transition that mirrors the continuity of time. Night does not mark an ending, but rather a quiet passage that carries life forward into the following day.
