AB#349 Dittico Rose e Cemento I is an abstract mixed media diptych painted on raw canvas, measuring 60 × 80 × 2 cm (2025). The work is composed of horizontal grey striations interrupted by a subtle yet vivid red oil accent embedded between the layers.
Created in Tuscany near the coastline, the piece reflects landscapes where cemented structures ports and small harbors integrate imperfectly with their natural surroundings. During the evening, especially at sunset, these rigid forms soften as grey surfaces dissolve into bronze and golden tones. As the sun slowly descends, flashes of red emerge, noisy and reflective, cutting through the muted atmosphere.
The red trace becomes a point of tension and transformation. It suggests that periods of emptiness or difficulty, often shaped by artificial environments, can dissolve over time. Rather than being dominated by constructed colors and forms, the work embraces the possibility of transition where restraint gives way to light, and the end of a day naturally opens toward the beginning of another.
