Sea is a photographic interpretation of the coastline of Talamone, where the sea and the land meet in a series of flowing contours that seem to move with the rhythm of the waves.
The image captures an unusual relationship between water and landscape: the sea takes on the appearance of a mountain range, while the coastline becomes a delicate outline defining the surrounding scenery. Their forms seem to shift and merge, creating an ambiguous boundary between natural elements.
Through this visual transformation, the familiar landscape loses its conventional proportions and becomes an abstract composition of movement, depth and organic shapes. The sea is no longer simply a body of water, but a solid and almost mountainous presence, while the coast acts as its defining edge.
The photograph explores the changing perception of landscape, where movement and natural forms challenge the distinction between sea and land. It invites the viewer to reconsider what is familiar, discovering unexpected geometries and new perspectives within nature.
The photograph is produced as a high-quality fine art print on canvas, with a wide black border designed to allow the artwork to be stretched onto a frame at a later stage. This presentation enhances the visual impact of the image while offering flexibility in its final display.
